I know, and my life will never be the same.
Bob, I would give a year's salary to spend a single day with my father. He passed a long time ago, but I think about him often and I am proud to be his son. The pain of losing someone we love and are close to changes over time into manageable longing. My dad passed, but he remains with me. I can hear his voice and feel his presence. .

Do you realise that is much more than most people get. Please try and see that is something you should be intensly greatful for.
Try and use the good memories you have and cherish them in stead of looking at your father passing as something that is unfair.
Let me tell you this. I envy you. I envy that you had a father that cared for you. A father who has been there for you for almost 60 years. And you not appreciating that and honoring his life, I just cannot understand.
