Have any Chicagoans here found any of the following:
-A hypnotist who has helped them not focus/obsess on their T?
-A therapist to help them habituate?
As background:
I should note that my T isn't really all that "loud" and is fairly easily masked. Unfortunately, however, stress and anxiety have made it difficult not to obsess over it and constantly listen for it. I sort of habituated on my own 2 years ago when it first came about, but after "dehabituating" recently due to a vicious cycle of stress, it has re-emerged as an issue. I'm a law student and currently doing nothing but studying for the bar exam. Consequently, I pretty much sit still all day and in quiet areas studying (at least while my mind can remain focused on something other than my T). This makes it much more difficult to ignore and move on than it should be.
In short, I'm looking for some help in getting my mind off of it and I've heard that hypnosis or therapy might be good for this.
