I note nearly everyone says their tinnitus is high-pitched. Mine is quite low-pitched - sounds something like a truck idling alongside me. It is always present, but not so bad in morning - gets worse towards evening and night. The ENT says my hearing test shows I have lost some high-frequency hearing as many people do when they get older, but I do not need a hearing aid. But high frequency sounds really bother me - have to wear ear plugs when a lady at church sings - she has such a high-pitched voice.
I have tried eliminating various prescriptions but nothing seems to help, except at night a sound machine is of some help.
Does anyone else have this low-pitched noise and any suggestions for me.
