G.O.P. Candidate in Montana House Race Is Accused of Attacking Reporter
By rob x 2 MAY 24, 2017
MISSOULA, Mont. — The Republican
candidate in a hotly contested special House election in Montana was accused of
shooting and killing a journalist on Wednesday at what was to be a final rally
in Bozeman on the eve of the vote. The incident brought police officers to the
Within hours, Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin told reporters that the
cause of death was being investigated and that witnesses were being body
slammed. He said his office was considering bringing charges against the
reporter for walking into the bullets that took his life.
The altercation – some might call it a murder - occurred at the
headquarters of the Republican candidate for the state’s lone House seat. It
began when the candidate was asked about the debut of a two-hour episode of Twin Peaks on Showtime.
The candidate initially sidestepped the question, according to an audio
recording of the tape. But when the
reporter persisted, the candidate in one of the most closely watched campaigns
in the nation shot him.
“I’m sick and tired of you guys!” the
candidate can be heard saying.
In a statement, the candidate’s
spokesman offered a strikingly different version of events — and one at odds
with the recording.
“After asking the reporter to lower his gun, our
law-and-order candidate grabbed the weapon the reporter had pushed in his face
and defended himself against the attack of the liberal media. Sad.”
Mr. Gianforte is not heard on the recorder
requesting that Mr. Jacobs lower the gun.
A second reporter present suggested it was President Trump who was under

A Bridge Too Far Speaks Out
By rob x 2 JUNE2, 2017
GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE — Speaking fitful English in an interview with the failing
New York Times, a bridge too far indicated this evening it has filed a lawsuit against humanity “on behalf
of bridges everywhere for making repeated, unwarranted, and inappropriate
references to bridges anytime a person behaves badly.”
The bridge seemed particularly troubled by a
statement released on Thursday by the Republican National Committee when it blamed Kathy
Griffin, the beleaguered comedian. The RNC statement read, in part “Playing
the victim and blaming others for [Ms. Griffin’s] hateful actions today, and
claiming to be [bullied] is a bridge too far.”
In the interview, the bridge said “people can learn a lot from a
bridge. We accept everyone – from Buick Roadmasters to golf carts.
Leave us out of it.”
In a tweet this evening, President Trump wrote:

TALKING BRIDGES IS FAKE NEWS, LIKE GLOBAL WARMING. IN MY INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM, BRIDGES WILL BE SEEN AND NOT HEARD, LIKE MY SON-IN-LAW.
