Did you know Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) can cause tinnitus. For years I had tinnitus and not much could be done. I had other problems. Poor gait, poor balance. Could not hold urinate properly had to go right away. Poor hearing. They took an MRI and found excessive water on the brain. They put a shunt in my brain and a tube that runs down into my stomach. When my brain gets to much water the shunt runs it down my stomach and I urinate it out. It does not hurt. Putting a shunt in when you have Hydrocephalus does not cure tinnitus. I was lucky. They went looking to cure other things.
