I see this word "spike" referred to often here on TSMB, and I am not sure exactly what that is, or if it should really be called a "spike" or another , more appropriate, name.
When I think of spike, I think of a long, thick, sharp-pointed piece of wood or metal or a heavy nail.
A medical reference: A brief electrical event of 3 to 25 milliseconds that gives the appearance in the electroencephalogram of a rising and falling vertical line.
I have good days and bad days. I don't think I have spikes. At least I hope not.
